In which Dante and Zephyr take over The Gay Recluse.

Empty shell + stray kitten = daily heartache.

Friends, not every cat is a lolcat…

    ADOPT???!!!!

  2. Hey Laurie, we would love to adopt this guy, but we already have our hands full with two (and Stephen won’t let me even think about #3)! We’re hoping someone else in the nabe will step up though — he’s such a good little guy! We’re going to do what we can…

I love that you love cats…I have a feral NYC cat named Neville and he is EXACTLY like the cat in the picture…he’s beautiful and blond and a completely free spirit, although our other tiger short hair (who is completely domesticated and wants to be carried around like a teddy bear all day) doesn’t get him at all…after years of living in domesticity he’s finally trusting in ways we never imagined, like snuggling with us–rare for such a feral wild cat like Neville! We love him to death…thanks for posting this lovely pic…

  4. Thanks for the comment, Jeff. Our Dante was also feral and is truly a great cat, too; Zephyr was born to a feral mother. I’m hoping that someone will adopt this guy next door; we just don’t have the resources right now to take him in. :(

  5. It’s such a shame when a city can’t take care of it’s own – be it man or animal.

  6. Very true, Peter — today we rescued this guy from a tree! Someone said the corner store might take him in, which would be nice!
