The Short Version: Obama’s “race speech” rawked!
In her words: “A little disenchantment with Obama could turn out to be a good thing. Too much idealism can blind a leader to reality as surely as too much ideology can.”
Score: A- (Astute)
Although this is essentially a love letter to Obama, we agree that he deserves it. Let’s hope it resonates in the way Dowd suggests it should.

I think it’s Maureen Dowd that is a little blinded. She regularly gushes over Barack like a school girl with a crush on a rock star.
Yes, I agree with you, Mo MoDo, but I still thought this was a pretty good column for her. I saw that even Wonkette or Gawker wrote something nice about it, which was pretty shocking.
